Riivo’s Revolutionary DCC Dual Composite Construction is composed of two separate carbon “shells”. The innermost shell makes up the carbon footbed and heal counter. The carbon outsole is comprised of strategically oriented layers of: 24k, 3k and Uni-directional carbon fiber and features a hollow cleat area, drastically reducing overall weight while maximizing stiffness. The upper of the shoe is sandwiched between these two carbon shells creating an I-Beam effect for ultimate stiffness under the most demanding pedal strokes. The inner heal area features a laminated combination of non-woven & composite materials. Developed in the speed skating industry this configuration gives just the right amount of flexibility where needed.
